“It’s so vast…I’ve never seen anything like it.” Arion could not draw his eyes away from the windows of the ship, gazing out at all of the stars and losing himself in them. For a while his eyes kept glancing back at the small green dot that was his home planet, Namek. It was so hard to believe his home was so small in the open and enormous void that was the universe. How truly small was he? “How big is the biggest planet?”
“I’m not sure.” Frost responded. He was sitting at the control panels, putting in commands and directions. “All I’m really concerned about is finding this planet Encantos…I know very little about it.”
“Well I know it exists…Porunga wouldn’t just make that up.” Arion defended.
“Of course not, I’m not doubting the validity of the dragon, I’m wondering what the dragon meant when he said that this Sala person is bound to the planet…or that he was a prisoner of some kind.” Frost admitted.
“True…but we’ll figure things out. I have confidence in that.” Arion looked around and scratched his head. “Hey, where’d that Saiyan girl go?”
“Kimchi?” Frost chuckled. “She went to go get a shower. She’ll be with us shortly.”
“What’s her deal anyway?” Arion asked. “She seems way too blood thirsty.”
“She’s a Saiyan.” Frost shrugged. “It’s common among their kind. Saiyans are a warrior race from a planet called Vegeta.”
“Well then what was she doing on Namek?” Arion asked.
“The Saiyans serve the Planet Trade Organization.” Frost explained. “Years ago, the Organization struck a bargain with them. We would provide them with up-to-date armor, scouters, and space pods to travel and fight against other races and warriors around the galaxy. In return, the Saiyans would conquer other planets and rid them of their inhabitants for us.”
“So she came to Namek to conquer it? She didn’t seem so tough…are you sure that she should have come alone?” Arion asked.
“Hmph…perhaps she was foolish.” Frost laughed. “Your planet has no moon, and without it, she lost her trump card.”
“Why is the moon her trump card?”
“Because it’s the secret to our power.” Kimchi snapped, walking into the control room. Her long black hair was wet and her skin still looked damp. She was wearing a towel around her and she was barefoot.
“Secret to your p-”
“Why are you walking around in a towel?” Frost demanded.
“Where do you keep the damn armor?” She snapped.
“Go down the hall and look in the armory…it’s clearly marked.” Frost snapped back. “You don’t need to wear armor all the time you know.”
“I feel naked without armor on.”
“You’re naked now!” Frost shouted. Kimchi huffed and turned to leave. Before she left she glanced at Arion.
“In answer to your question, the full moon allows us Saiyans to enter our Great Ape form.” She walked out and the door closed.
“Great Ape?” Arion asked. “I’m so confused.”
“It’s a long story, and if there’s a full moon on Encanto, you might just see it for yourself.” Frost said. “Now I know you feel a bit new to this whole space travel thing, and I’m sure you’re also knew to other races…but if we’re all going to work as a team, we need to know everything about each other. Kimchi, you, and myself are all going to have to start sharing secrets.”
“Team? You really think Kimchi and I can work together on any team?” Arion asked.
“You’ll have to. None of us are strong enough to take on my family as we are…if we want a shot, we need to be united.” Frost replied. “So, why don’t we have ourselves a sparring session? You and Kimchi against me, perhaps?”
“Who will fly this ship?”
“I’ll put it on autopilot.” Frost said. “Just go to the training room. It’s in the middle of the ship. I’ll be there soon.” Arion nodded and walked out of the command center. As he made his way down the long white hallway, he saw Kimchi walking towards him. She was back in her armor and she frowned a little. She held out something to Arion, and Arion saw that it was one of those eye appliances.

“What’s this?” He asked.
“It’s a scouter.” She replied. “You wear it on your eye and it’s used to measure your opponent’s strength.”
“I don’t need this.” Arion said. “I can sense the energy of others.”
“What?” Kimchi blinked. “How?!”
“All Namekians can…I could probably teach you if you want.” He offered. Kimchi narrowed her eyes and shoved the scouter in his hands.
“Maybe some other time, Namekian. For now just take the thing. It’s also a communicator. We can use it to communicate during battle…unless you’ve learned some kind of telepathic communication power.” Kimchi sneered.
“N-no…”
“Didn’t think so. Now put the stupid thing on.” Arion quickly attached it to his ear like Kimchi did and he pressed the button on the side. The screen of the scouter, covering his left eye lit up and began showing words and letters.
“Can you hear me?” Kimchi’s voice came in through the scouter and Arion gasped.
“Yes! I hear you…wow this is amazing!”
“Good, then the scouter is functional. It’s an older model, so I was concerned.” Kimchi turned off her scouter and then walked past Arion.
“Oh wait, um…Frost said that he wants us to train now.”
“Train with you? I think I’d get stronger just doing a few push ups.” Kimchi growled.
“And just what does that mean!?” Arion growled angrily. Kimchi rounded on him in a flash.
“You hardly need a scouter to see the difference in our abilities. I underestimated you on Namek, but that was all. Don’t flatter yourself with the notion that you’re stronger than me. I will admit that your power level is impressive by grunt standards, you are not a warrior, merely a village boy who found his way in a fight bigger than himself. I, on the other hand, am a seasoned warrior with countless fights and unmatched experience. You might have power, but you lack training and discipline, Namekian.”
“My name is Arion!” Arion snapped. “And if you’re so sure of yourself, why not come at me right now and prove it!?”
“Ha! Gladly you worthless slug!”
“BOTH OF YOU BE SILENT!” Kimchi and Arion spun around to see Frost glaring at them. “Stop acting like children. What happened on Namek is behind us. We need to concern ourselves with the future and what we’ll be up against.” Arion looked down with a guilty glance and Kimchi just tsked, but silently agreed. “Now, both of you come with me to the training room.” Frost lead the two into a large room with paneled floors, walls, and ceiling. It was tall enough for them to fly around easily and there were even a few built in obstacles. Arion whistled in awe.

“Alright you two, your job is simple. You’re to work together to try and beat me.” Frost said.
“Teamwork?” Kimchi laughed. “You expect me to work with this slug? He’s an inexperienced weakling.”
“Inexperienced, yes…” Frost said darkly, “which is why I want him training alongside you. You ARE experienced and can help bring him up to speed. Let’s face it you two, as we are now, none of us would be a match for Frieza…our ONLY hope is in combining our strengths.” Kimchi huffed a little and nodded.
“Fine, whatever.” She turned to Arion. “Don’t slow me down, slug. Put your scouter on.” Arion didn’t bother arguing and put on his scouter. He pressed the button on its side and symbols began flashing, allowing him to see the power levels of Kimchi and Frost. He could also hear Kimchi’s breathing through it; the communicator was on.
“Alright you two, come at me when you’re ready.” Frost said.

“Slug,” Kimchi’s voice was but a whisper, but in Arion’s ear it sounded loud and clear, “I’m going to rush him and engage him in hand to hand combat. Wait for an opening and strike with a ki attack.”
“I told you, my name is-”
“Are you SERIOUSLY arguing with me about this?! Do you want me to hold your hand for this battle as well?! Now do you understand your orders or not!?”
“…Yes, I understand.” Arion snapped back. He hated Kimchi’s vicious and vulgar attitude. Her complete lack of respect for him was repulsive and he had half a mind to leave her to get defeated by Frost…but he also knew that doing so would be abandoning his partner on the battlefield, and such would be disgraceful.
Kimchi attacked with blinding speed and began striking at Frost. Frost leaped back and used his arms, legs, and tail to defend. Kimchi was putting up a good front, but it was clear that Frost was barely having to try to evade her. Was Frost really so much weaker than Frieza? If so, it seemed Frieza’s power level was beyond reckoning!
Suddenly, Frost used his tail to wrap around Kimchi’s neck. She screamed and struggled to breath as Frost began choking her.
“HOLD ON!” Arion charged in at full blast and fired an explosive energy wave at Frost. Frost turned and whipped his tail sending Kimchi flying into the same blast.
“AAAAAH!” Kimchi flew through the air, burned by the ki attack.
“AH! KIMCHI, HOLD O-GYAAAAH!” Before Arion could run to her, Frost was on top of him and sending him spinning away with two focused kicks to his face. Arion flew back and crashed into the wall. Frost leaped at him and placed his foot against Arion’s chest, pressing him deeper and deeper into the wall. Arion struggled to regain himself but couldn’t manage to escape the clutches of this beast!
“You shouldn’t be so reckless.” Frost smirked. Suddenly Frost let out a cry of shock as he felt an arm wrap around his neck from behind and put him in a chokehold.
“KIMCHI!?” Arion cried. Kimchi was standing behind Frost and choking him with all her might.
“YOU ASSHOLE!” Kimchi screamed. “HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO ME, SLUG! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING SHOOTING THAT KI BLAST!”
“I was trying to help you!” Arion cried.
“WAS THAT YOUR IDEA OF HELP!? YOU SHOULD HAVE USED THAT OPPORTUNITY TO CLOSE IN ON HIM!” Kimchi shouted. Arion growled, furious at her complete lack of gratitude. “NOW HIT HIM!” Arion obeyed and attacked Frost rapidly with a vicious volley of punches. Frost grunted, but then used his tail, wrapping it around Kimchi’s leg and yanking her off of him, throwing her away. He grabbed Arion’s arm and held it tight, causing Arion to stop his attack and scream in pain.
“You’ll pay for that!” Frost pointed his finger at Kimchi to fire a ki laser at her. Arion struggled to free his arm so he could run to her aid, but Frost wasn’t letting go. He had only one choice…and it would be difficult…and very painful.
“DAMN IT!” Arion pulled with all his might and felt his arm completely rip off of his shoulder!

“WHAT!?” Frost cried, dropping the severed arm. Arion leaped at Frost and landed a furious kick into Frost’s face, sending him flying backwards with tremendous power. Arion stumbled back, clutching his stump of an arm. Kimchi could only stare in horror.
“Are you okay, Kimchi?” Arion asked.
“You complete idiot! Why did you sacrifice your arm like that!?” Kimchi screamed. “How do you expect to do anyone any good without your arm!?”
“Just shut up and watch.” Arion growled. He focused with all his might on his shoulder where his arm should be and let out a roar of concentration. From the stump, a brand new arm suddenly sprung forth! Kimchi let out a scream of shock.
“Regeneration abilities!?” Kimchi gasped. “You can regrow limbs?”
“Yeah.” Arion groaned, breathing heavily. “As long as my brain is intact, I can regenerate any damage done to my body pretty quickly.” Kimchi actually smiled and looked to where Frost was, who was dusting himself off.
“Color me impressed, Arion.” She said. “Maybe you’re not so bad after all.”
“Did you just call me by my name?” Arion asked.
“Don’t get used to it, Namekian.” Kimchi snapped. “Keep impressing me and I might continue to give you that honor, but for now you’re still a novice.” Arion shrugged, willing to take that brief honor from her. He could not deny that Kimchi’s experience was better than his, seeing how she was able to sneak behind Frost and choke him nearly into submission, a feat he couldn’t have done.
“Now listen carefully, just follow my lead…and don’t hold me back, you got that?” Kimchi growled.
“Whatever you say.” Arion agreed.
Kimchi and Arion Team Up! Intense Training Begins!

So yeah...this one is not my best, I'll just forewarn you. Because of all the demands here at school, I haven't had a lot of time to sit down and focus on any of my stories, let alone this one, but I had it about halfway done, found some free time and decided to wrap it up. Don't blame me if it seems a little rushed though. I promise I did the best I could!

Anyway, I really hope you guys like this one. I'm trying to write this story in a manner that everyone can totally understand what's going on.

You probably stopped this series because of a lack of interest. Since I'm the first to comment nearly a year after you wrote this chapter, I guess you didn't feel the love. Honestly, this is probably the least entertaining chapter, but it is important. Team-building is obviously something that would take some work, and they knew almost nothing about each other. The first chapter was the probably the most entertaining to me. I wanted to see more of Kimchi and how she reacted to being beaten and spared. The humiliation! Would she throw a tantrum? Would she lose her fighting spirit? Would she in some way mature? It just seemed so alive with possibilities. Now that we know where it's going, it becomes less exciting. So I guess It's okay that you decided to try something new. Also, I had a feeling that this would almost certainly end in tragedy. Maybe you did too. Still I enjoyed the short beginning. The scouter joke in chapter 4 was almost too much. XD
