“This is weird.” Cliff noted. “Wait…wait that’s….THAT’S MY VOICE! I’M A GUY AGAIN!” Cliff tried to leap in the air with joy but found himself falling to the ground, tumbling and not used to his body. Cliff put his hands on the ground and quickly realized that this was NOT a human body. He was staring down at a pair of paws! His whole body was a light golden color and furry. He instantly knew who and what he was.
“Simba…” Cliff muttered. “I’m Simba from The Lion King.” Cliff groaned and began to walk around on his four legs, thinking and getting used to his lion body. This was both a blessing and a curse. The blessing was that this was not only the first Disney movie Cliff had ever seen, but it was one that he was very familiar with. He knew the entire movie inside and out…but it was also a curse because Cliff couldn’t think of a severe problem with the story. Everything that happened was for a reason. If anything needed fixing, it had to be a minor thing.
“Okay first of all we need to find out where I am a-” Cliff noticed that the sky was bright from the sun and the ground was dry and baren…and walls of rock surrounded him. It was the canyon! The canyon where Simba’s father, Mufasa had been stampeded to death! But was the stampede already over or…was it yet to begin?

“HI!”
“GYAH!” Cliff screamed, falling backwards. He looked up from the ground and saw another lion cub over him with light blue eyes. “Hannah?”
“I’m Nala.” She laughed.
“Oh…so….you’re not Hann-”
“No I AM Hannah.”
“And I AM the walrus.”
“What?”
“Stupid reference…just forget it.” Cliff growled, picking himself up. “What’re you even doing here, Hannah, you’re not supposed to be in this part of the movie!”
“No…but I think I’m here to fix the problem.” Hannah explained. Cliff blinked for a moment and shook his head.
“What’re you talking about?” Cliff asked. “I’m trying to figure out the problem with this movie…but I just can’t. This movie has always been perfect to me!”
“Seriously? Because there’s one thing that I feel like could’ve been fixed.” Hannah explained. “Think about the stampede…what if Simba had just…NOT roared? He never would’ve blamed himself for the stampede and he wouldn’t think the death of his dad was his fault!” Cliff just stared at Hannah a moment and plopped down on his rump. Not roar? It made sense in a twisted way. The stampede was the fault of the hyenas, not Simba…but because Simba roared right as the stampede started, he blamed himself and thus ran away in shame. But if he didn’t roar…
“Or we could just leave!” Cliff offered. “If we leave then-”
“Can’t.” Hannah sighed. “Mufasa has to die. Simba needed to learn the meaning of Hakuna Matata to truly become a well rounded character and he also needed his chance to challenge Scar…”
“But then…why change anything at all?” Cliff asked. The two paused a moment and groaned. This was a lot harder than they thought.

“Okay, what’s the best way we can go about this?” Cliff asked.
“The conflict of the story revolves around Simba blaming himself for the murder of Mufasa…even though it wasn’t his fault. The logical answer is to get Simba to AVOID the stampede so that Mufasa never gets involved.” Hannah stated.
“But that wouldn’t change anything…Scar would just think of ANOTHER way to kill Mufasa and Simba.” Cliff argued. “Besides, Simba must learn about the philosophy of Hakuna Matata in order to fully embrace the other extreme of responsibility.”
“Other extreme of WHAT!?” Hannah laughed.
“There are two extremes to responsibility: There is the extreme where people put all of the burdens and problems they face on their shoulders, feeling like decisions, lives, and destiny all rides on them. Then there are the other extremes who choose not to accept responsibility and just let things happen as they may, that they have no impact on destiny and that you simply go with the flow. Hakuna Matata embraces that second extreme. For Simba to become a well rounded character, he has to understand both extremes and then find a middle ground.” Cliff explained. Hannah stared at him for a long moment in silence.
“Cliff…I want you to pay close attention to me, okay?”
“Okay…?”
“Cliff…you think WAAAAY too deeply into these things.”
“Oh shut up! I make it a point to analyze characters!”
“Cliff….you’re scaring me here. You seriously need to just…take a step back and remember…this is all JUST a movie.” Hannah whispered assuringly.
“You’re a jerk.”
“And you’re a lost cause.” Hannah countered. “I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just saying that there’s no need to make this more complicated than it needs to be.”
“Wait…”
“No there’s no time to wait, Cliff. We need to-”
“No stop talking!” Cliff snapped. “Do you feel that?” The two stood still and soon they could both feel the tremendous rumble of the earth…and the rocks were beginning to shake. “Oh no…THE STAMPEDE!”

The two spun to see the sea of wildebeest come rushing down at them like a cascading river. The roar of their approach was deafening. Cliff began looking around for a way out.
“HURRY TO THE SIDE OF THE CANYON!” Cliff and Hannah sprinted on their four paws to the sheer rock.
“We’ll never survive! We need to run away!”
“WE CAN’T OUT RUN THEM!” Cliff argued. “Our only chance is to climb above the herd!” Hannah didn’t argue and leaped at the side of the canyon, grabbing on with her claws and working her way up. Cliff hurried behind her, the charging beasts looming ever closer.
“HURRY!” Hannah shouted.
“WHAT, YOU THINK I’M TWIDDLING MY THUMBS!?!?!” Cliff roared back.
“YOU DON’T HAVE THUMBS!”
“SHUT UP AND CLIMB, DAMN YOU!” The two continued to climb until they at last reached a rock face above the herd. They both panted in exhaustion and watched the sea of beasts running through the canyon at break neck speed.
“You know from a safe position…it’s kinda impressive.” Hannah noted.
“Yeah, but…Scar doesn’t know that we’re safe. He’s going to get Mufasa.” Cliff said. “Wait…I’VE GOT IT!” Cliff spun on his four paws and ran off away from the canyon.
“WHERE ARE YOU GOING!?” Hannah called.
“I’ll explain later!” Cliff shouted back. “Just keep an eye out for Scar and dear Daddy!” Hannah growled at Cliff’s leaving but did as instructed and kept scanning the canyon for any sign of the two brothers. After some watching, Hannah finally saw two familiar figures on the top of the canyon.

“ZAZUU, ANY SIGN OF SIMBA!?” Mufasa cried. The bird was flying around desperately, searching the canyon.
“No sign of him, sir!”
“No…Scar, what if he’s already dead!?” Mufasa cried. “I must find him! Help me search!” Scar sneered and glanced down at the stampede.
“Wait, brother look there!” Scar cried, pointing down to a point in the stampede. Mufasa bent over some to look closer.
“RAAAH!” Scar struck Mufasa across the face and he tumbled over. With impressive reflexes, Mufasa spun around and grabbed the ledge of the canyon, clinging with all his might.
“SCAR! BROTHER...HELP ME!” Mufasa cried. Scar smirked and reached out, slamming his claws into Mufasa’s paws. Mufasa screamed in pain as Scar clutched him. Hannah growled, knowing that Scar was going to kill Mufasa in cold blood, whether Simba was there or not.
“Not this time, you baboon faced son of a bitch!” (Somewhere, far away, Raffiki grumbled angrily) “YAAAAAAAAH!” Hannah threw herself at Scar to knock him off the canyon, but he barely budged from the blow. He merely growled. Hannah bit his ear and tried to rip it clean off. With a snarl, Scar threw her down and Hannah screamed in pain.
“I’ll deal with you in a moment, brat.” Scar sneered. “Now to some unfinished family business.”
“RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!” Scar screamed as Cliff leaped out of no where and bit his tail hard. Scar spun around fast to see Cliff growling and holding onto his tail.
“SIMBA!” Mufasa cried.
“HOW DID YOU ESCAPE THE STAMPEDE!?” Scar roared, spinning and slashing at Cliff. Cliff threw himself back just in time but fell over, at Scars mercy. “Regardless…you were a fool to come here without help!” To Hannah’s surprise, Cliff…was smiling!
“What’re you talking about Uncle Scar? I did come with help…you’re forgetting THE PIG!”

“….are you talking to me?”
Hannah looked up to see a very pissed off…very fat….and very familiar…warthog.
“What?”
“Are you talking to me?”
Cliff leaped up and ran to Hannah, throwing her out of the way.
“ARE YOU TALKING TO MEEEEE?!?!”
“GETTEM PUMBA!”
“THEY CALL ME….‘MISTA PIIIIIG!!!!’ AAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!” With a cry of rage, Pumba charged scar, hitting him square in the chest and sending him tumbling over the edge of the canyon.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Scar screamed, as he fell into the raging and stampeding beasts below. While Pumba was celebrating his victory with the very excited yet confused Timon who had been standing a safe distance away, Cliff and Hannah ran to the aid of Mufasa, who was breathing heavily.
“Wh-what just….Scar betrayed me?” Mufasa cried.
“Yeah!” Cliff said. “He was the one who set up that stampede…he was going to kill us both, Dad!” Mufasa turned and looked down at the body of Scar, trampled by the stampede.
“I knew he was twisted….but I never foresaw such treachery in him before. Simba…I owe you and your friends, my life.” Cliff and Hannah smiled and Cliff stepped forward.
“If it’s okay with you, Dad…mind if I go and hang out with my two new friends for a little while?” Before they could hear his answer, the world grew dark around them and Cliff knew what that meant.
“DANG IT!” Hannah shouted. “Being a lion was cool…I wanted to play some more!”
“Hey, look on the bright side, Cliff laughed. We’re our proper genders again!”
Sorry it took so long to get this one out...been a while I know. But you all should know my history with this movie. The Lion King was the first movie I ever saw. I memorized all of it and loved watching it all the time. The story, in my opinion, is brilliant. I can't think of a lot of problems that could be fixed without ruining the story itself. So...we kind of...made up a new ending for it that worked a bit better. That's all. But know that I do love this movie A LOT!

Also, the next Disney Adventure will...take a bit more time to write, as I have to do a lot of planning and thought for this next movie. You'll see when we get there.
